Program Information
UPRISE has expanded opportunities to include engineering education research at the undergraduate and graduate levels. UPRISE provides the opportunity for a diverse (gender, ethnicity, and majors) population of undergraduates to fill integral roles in INSPIRE and ENE’s research projects. UPRISE students receive the necessary training, tools, and mentorship to conduct research, develop their research skills, and become valuable research team members. Mentorship comes from faculty, staff, and graduate students with expertise in engineering, educational psychology, technology, engineering, and mathematics education. UPRISE provides opportunities to participate at research symposiums and conferences and publish in journals and proceedings, thus rounding out students’ research experiences. Our mission is to foster a collaborative environment where students work closely with faculty and graduate student mentors, gaining valuable skills and knowledge. We are committed to enhancing students' academic and professional growth, preparing them for future career success.
