Briony Horgan is an Assistant Professor of planetary science. She uses data from NASA's satellites and rovers to understand the geologic history of the Moon and Mars, supported by lab and field work at analog sites back on Earth. Her expertise is identifying minerals using visible and infrared spectroscopy, and using those minerals to investigate planetary surface processes, and to identify habitable ancient environments on Mars. Prof. Horgan is a Co-I on the Mastcam-Z camera system for NASA's Mars 2020 rover mission.

Greg Harbaugh is a four-time Space Shuttle astronaut. He has logged 34 days in space, including 18 hours 29 minutes of spacewalks. He was a mission specialist/flight engineer aboard Discovery for strategic defense research, Endeavor for a satellite deployment and rescue spacewalk demonstration, Atlantis for the first Shuttle-Mir docking, and Discovery again, including two more spacewalks, for the second Hubble Space Telescope upgrade mission. He then became head of NASA's spacewalk program, overseeing planning, training, operations, and strategic visioning for all U.S. Involvement in spacewalks involving Americans, both present and future. His work included the first concepts regarding human Mars exploration.
