A new SuccessFactors training webpage will be utilized to build out training materials and resources. Selecting the desired topic will open a SharePoint page displaying processes, Quick Reference Guides (QRG) and Work Instruction Videos (WIV). To date, the following training and resources have been rolled out. Some may need to use OnePurdue\username and password to access the SharePoint site.

  • Payroll Overview: Business offices can click Timekeeping and Payroll to view the Payroll resources introduced in the Payroll Overview showcases. Several processes, QRGs and forms are available.
  • Employee Data Changes: Business offices can click Employee Data Change to view quick reference guides that outline how to initiate an employee data change (such as a pay change) in the system. Those assigned a department head role may need to approve pay changes. There are also QRGs that show how to access ‘Approve Requests’ from the To Do section of the SuccessFactors portal.
  • Create or Change a Position: Department Support and supervisors have the ability to manage positions. Positions are viewable in organizational charts and can be held by a single person or multiple employees. Recruitment processes always start with a vacant positon. Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) are available to Create or Edit Positions.
  • Recruitment Resources: The best place to start for recruitment is a process document. The Faculty Hire process outlines the required steps to recruit a faculty position. The roles are identified for each step and the appropriate Quick Reference Guide (QRG) or Work Instruction Video (WIV). The Staff Hire and Student Quick Hire processes are slightly different than the faculty hire process. The Student Quick Hire allows the initiator to complete the whole process.

Over the next weeks, the following resources will become available – Employee Central (similar to Employee Self-Service tasks) Time Off, Timekeeping and Offboarding. Email notifications and newsletter articles will be used to announce the availability of new training materials.
