Access to SuccessFactors based on roles

Preparations are underway to roll out training for the upcoming transition from SAP to SuccessFactors. All employees paid by Purdue will have the roles needed to access SuccessFactors to update their personal information, review pay statements, document time worked and time off (as applicable) and review open positions. Training resources and information will be provided through several channels, including Purdue Today.

Onboarding new employees in SuccessFactors

Today, onboarding new employees is a decentralized process. Vital new employee information is collected on paper and manually entered. Some employees start their first day with all the correct system access and functioning email, while others may work their first couple of weeks with very little access.

Training resources available, more on the way

A new SuccessFactors training webpage will be utilized to build out training materials and resources. Selecting the desired topic will open a SharePoint page displaying processes, Quick Reference Guides (QRG) and Work Instruction Videos (WIV). To date, the following training and resources have been rolled out. Some may need to use OnePurdue\username and password to access the SharePoint site.

Timekeeping changes in SuccessFactors: An overview

The SuccessFactors Resource Fair utilized a resource document to outline the changes in timekeeping. Starting with the Dec. 24-Jan. 6 pay period, SuccessFactors will be used for all timekeeping. Both paper timecards and Kronos will end. The document walks through the available time profiles. Time recording profiles determine clock-based vs. duration-based recording.
