What's changing

Did you know the systems and processes we use to recruit, hire, pay employees and make employee data changes (e.g. change in hours, salary, position) are changing? The SAP environment that is currently used for these processes will be upgraded to SAP SuccessFactors in January 2019, and this change affects all employees.

SuccessFactors, an integrated, cloud-based core human capital management solution, will be used by employees for self-service functionality including direct deposit information, home address and education updates, tax withholdings, and more.

All benefits-eligible employees, including benefits-eligible graduate student staff, will also use the system to request time off and complete performance management evaluations. Supervisors and managers will complete approval steps for these actions through SuccessFactors.

Non-exempt (i.e. hourly) employees who currently complete a paper timecard or clock in and out through a Kronos terminal will transition to SuccessFactors upon implementation, and supervisors and managers will begin to approve employee working time electronically. The first bi-weekly payroll period processed through SuccessFactorswill be December 24, 2018 – January 6, 2019.

All vacant or new student, staff and faculty positions will be recruited through SuccessFactors. Recruitment that is underway at the time that SuccessFactors deploys will complete the steps using the existing process.

All employees are encouraged to attend the November 1 SuccessFactors Resource Fair in the Purdue Memorial Union South Ballroom from 10:30 a.m.– 2:30 p.m. to learn more about the upcoming changes.
