Members of the General Ledger (Finance) Transformation team, Stacy Umlauf and Andrew Bean, have visited Purdue Northwest and Purdue Fort Wayne to introduce the new simplified account structure.

At the regional campuses, attendees from business offices and finance departments learned about the relationship between cost centers and org units and how accounts can be organized in order to easily view and report transactions and balances. Partnering with the project team, the regional campuses will start drafting how current accounts will be mapped to their future structure.

It is important to have the future structure set prior to testing. All areas over the next several months will be reviewing their current account structures and learning about the new structure in order to map correctly. Data cleansing deadlines are outlined in the Showcase PowerPoint presentation on page 52.
