Training Strategy

How is training organized?

Training is organized by like tasks and assigned roles. Simply put, training materials are created in chunks – allowing trainees with similar roles and tasks to attend one training course. Training will be delivered in a variety of formats. The following training avenues provide both flexibility (materials can be easily used in departmental meetings) and standardization (everyone received the same information).

Quick Reference

Quick Reference Guides

Guides are documents that offer a visual to help you walk through a process or task. Screen shots and quick, direct statements will help provide direction on what to do next. Guides will easily be accessible and are often referenced in training courses.

Work Instruction Video

These will be your go-to instructions anytime you are looking for how to perform a task in the system. As an example, check out the Locating General Ledger or Commitment Items in SAP. Work Instruction Videos will also be easily accessible and referenced in training courses.

General Ledger (Finance)
Instructor-led Training Course

A “train-the-trainer” concept will be utilized with deployments throughout the project. Our trainers – those who will facilitate the instructor-led sessions  - are subject-matter experts and key testers with the new processes and systems which positions them to better help you understand what is being introduced. Your trainer could very well be someone you work with on a daily basis.

The training materials are created by our training team and approved by the project leads. Trainees often have access to SAP (training or production) and are led through several processes or transactions. Trainees have opportunities to ask questions and receive a hands-on experience.

Human Capital Management
Online or Computer - Based Training Course

This self-paced option allows trainees to work through materials on their own. Online courses often cover navigation tips and tricks, policies and other concepts important to understand prior to attending an instructor-led course. Online training can be used as quick references for easier transactions and tasks.
