
{"id":2062,"date":"2023-03-15T18:05:46","date_gmt":"2023-03-15T18:05:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/qa.www.purdue.edu\/treasurer\/finance\/\/?page_id=2062"},"modified":"2026-03-16T14:36:00","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T18:36:00","slug":"staff-remission-information-and-resources","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/treasurer\/finance\/bursar-office\/student-account-faqs\/staff-remission-information-and-resources\/","title":{"rendered":"Staff Remission Information and Resources"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"section sm  \">\n<div class=\"container  \">\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"main-heading\">Staff Remission Information and Resources<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Please see below for remission information, resources and forms for the Purdue University West Lafayette campus, Purdue University Global, graduate school fellowships and graduate appointment submissions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"container  \">\n<div class=\"accordion\"><p id=\"title-0cd00708-bc3c-47c0-9562-d828b1f5d222\" class=\"accordion-title\" role=\"button\">Remission Processes \/ Forms \u2014 West Lafayette Campus<\/p><div id=\"content-0cd00708-bc3c-47c0-9562-d828b1f5d222\" class=\"accordion-content\">\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The following remissions will require a Remission Application (Form 15):<\/h6>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Staff Fee Remission.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Child of Staff Fee Remission.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Spouse of Staff Fee Remission.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>To access the Staff Fee Remission form, click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sswis.mypurdue.purdue.edu\/CustomPages\/staffFeeRemit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>\u00a0and complete the online form.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/treasurer\/finance\/\/bursar-office\/bursar-forms\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2071\">Forms Used by the Office of the Bursar&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"accordion\"><p id=\"title-9a8edf1c-6a15-44ac-9df8-e4767ca23dfc\" class=\"accordion-title\" role=\"button\">Process for Graduate Appointment\/Assistantship Fee Remission&nbsp;<\/p><div id=\"content-9a8edf1c-6a15-44ac-9df8-e4767ca23dfc\" class=\"accordion-content\">\n\n<p>All departments are responsible for reporting their list of graduate student appointments\/assistantships prior to the beginning of the term. A new form needs to be completed each semester, each year for each student that receives Graduate Staff Remission. Go to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/treasurer\/finance\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Bursar-eForm-80-Instructions.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Graduate Appointment Submission Process (eForm 80)<\/a>&nbsp;for instructions. Once the form is processed by the Bursar\u2019s Office, the status of the form will change to read \u201cReviewed by Bursar\u201d, so that will mean that the student should see the remission on their account soon.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Please email <a href=\"mailto:remissions@purdue.edu\">remissions@purdue.edu<\/a> for Bursar questions or <a href=\"mailto:gradfunding@purdue.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">gradfunding@purdue.edu<\/a> in the Graduate School for any questions or concerns regarding this process. <\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"accordion\"><p id=\"title-a0f4466a-4bff-42b1-93d9-25515fd816b4\" class=\"accordion-title\" role=\"button\">Fee Remission Audit<\/p><div id=\"content-a0f4466a-4bff-42b1-93d9-25515fd816b4\" class=\"accordion-content\">\n\n<p>Six to eight weeks into each term, an audit is normally performed that compares enrollment data to the Human Resources system to verify staff and graduate staff positions. If it is found that the employee no longer qualifies for the remission, the student attribute is removed and the fee assessment is adjusted appropriately.
