What is BoilerExpress
BoilerExpress is declining balance account that gives you on-campus buying power for food, laundry and much more. It offers the convenient option of preloading funds to an online debit account that can be accessed with the swipe of your Purdue ID card at over 30 retail locations across campus.
Each time you use your BoilerExpress account, the amount of your purchase will be automatically deducted from your account. Your BoilerExpress account will roll with you from semester to semester and from year to year. The balance stays with you until you graduate or terminate all affiliations with Purdue.
Please note:
- BoilerExpress is NOT accepted at bookstores or other off-campus locations.
- Cash withdrawals are not permitted.
- Cash refunds are not made for returned merchandise.
Who is Eligible for BoilerExpress
A BoilerExpress declining balance account is available to the following individuals:
- Staff and faculty currently employed by Purdue.
- Students in active status according to Banner.
BoilerExpress vs. Dining Dollars
A BoilerExpress account is different from a Dining Dollars account. A BoilerExpress account is a declining balance account for which you must sign up for and deposit funds. A Dining Dollars account is opened for you when you sign up for a housing contract through University Residences based on the meal plan chosen.

Sign Up For BoilerExpress
Gaining access to your account allows you to view your balance and online statements, monitor transactions and add funds. Your account takes about five minutes to set up, after which you can log into eAccounts with your Purdue career account and password.
Sign Up
The BoilerExpress declining balance account feature is perhaps the most popular aspect of the versatile Purdue ID card. Here’s how you can activate this feature:
- Sign up.
- Accept our terms and conditions.
- After just a few minutes, your account will be set up automatically and you will be able to access your account through eAccounts.
Deposits
BoilerExpress Deposits
Once you have Signed Up for BoilerExpress, deposits of up to $998 (+fee) can be made by credit/debit card via eAccounts. Once a transaction is complete, funds are deposited immediately into your account.
Guest BoilerExpress Deposits
Guests, friends, and family can contribute by making a guest deposit directly to BoilerExpress using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express through eAccounts. Guests will need to know the student’s first name, last name, and Purdue email address. Please note that there is a fee for each deposit.

Refunds
For issues with a specific BoilerExpress transaction, including a request for refund, please contact the department where the transaction occurred.Please provide the following information:
Full Name, PUID Number, Transaction date, time and location, Transaction total and reason for the dispute.

Papercut Printing Account
To release your print job please use the Mobile Release option: iTap.purdue.edu/papercut
All faculty, staff and students with a Purdue career account have access to use the ITaP printers. Each is provided with an allotment of prints using the print quota system. The print quota system was implemented to reduce the costs related to careless and wasteful printing.

Access My BoilerExpress
Need information about your account? eAccounts, our online portal, makes it easy to manage your ID card. You can check your Dining Dollar balance, add money to your BoilerExpress account, and view transaction history. Parents and families can even deposit extra funds directly to your account.

Account Closures
BoilerExpress accounts will automatically close when students graduate, withdraw from the University, or staff separate from the University. There is a fee to close the account. We can only process a refund if your account has $30 or greater. Please allow six weeks for processing.
If your account is under $30.00, you will need to be sure to spend all of the money in your account, as you will not be eligible for a refund. Any remaining funds will be forfeited per the terms and conditions of your BoilerExpress account.
You can log into eAccounts at www.purdue.edu/eaccounts using your career account login and password to check your balance. To view a complete list of locations that accept BoilerExpress view the menu above.
If you owe money to the University, the refund goes toward the balance owed. If you have signed up for direct deposit, and no money is owed, a refund will go directly into the account you have set up. If you do not have direct deposit, a check is written and mailed to the address you have on file with the University. Please note that we do not send mail to addresses outside the U.S.

If you’d like to close your account, please submit an email request to boilerexpress@purdue.edu, on demand student refunds are only permitted at the end of each spring semester.
