Leaper X - Purdue's Free Ride Experiment

Purdue University partnered with Cummins Inc. and Energy Systems Network (ESN) to launch a new on-demand transportation service on the West Lafayette campus.

This program, known as Leaper X, will be available for the remainder of the fall 2019 semester. The service is available to anyone who has a Purdue email address.

Leaper X shuttles are available concurrently with the existing CityBus Black Loop and Av Tech stop on the Gold Loop.

Transit Services

Night transit is available from 6 p.m. to midnight between select campus locations.

Between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., users may travel from campus locations to a number of destinations located on the perimeter of campus, including Zucrow Laboratories, the Purdue Airport and the Parking and Transportation office.

Using the map below as a reference, riders can travel from one destination to another within and between zones from 6 p.m. to midnight (such as from the Gold Zone to the Blue Zone or between two destinations that are both in the Gold Zone). However, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., travel is only available between zones (such as from the Gold Zone to the Purple Zone).

A map of all included pick-up and drop-off locations is provided in the app.
