2014 Golf Outing

The eighth annual Ryan Kerrigan/12th Boiler Golf Outing will take place on Friday, May 12. The event features Kerrigan, the former Boilermaker All-American and first round draft pick who helped lead the Washington Redskins to a NFC East Division title in 2015. Several other former Purdue athletes and coaches have been invited to attend. 

The proceeds from the event go toward the 12th Boiler Scholarship Fund, the scholarship fund for the Joe Tiller Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Kerrigan's "Blitz For the Better" Foundation.

Kerrigan at Purdue

Kerrigan became the NCAA Power Five co-record-holder with 14 fumbles forced. He is tied for second in Purdue history with 33.5 sacks and ranks fifth in school annals with 57 tackles for loss. He was voted the 2010 Big Ten Conference Defensive Player and Lineman of the Year leading the nation with 26 tackles for loss and being atop the Big Ten 13.5 sacks. Kerrigan was led by the co-captain to achieve a total of 70 tackles. In the year 2010-2011, Kerrigan was selected as Purdue’s 2010-2011 male recipient of the Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award for distinguishing himself through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. He also became the Boilermakers’ first unanimous All-American in 30 years (Mark Herrmann and Dave Young were recognized in 1980)

Kerrigan's Pro Career 

Kerrigan has emerged as one of the rising stars of the NFL. He's started in every game since he was drafted in 2011 and has compiled 322 tackles and 58.5 sacks, including a career-high 13.5 sacks in 2014. Kerrigan inked a five-year, $57.5 million contract in July 2015 that made him the third-highest paid linebacker in the league. He was named a starter to the 2017 Pro Bowl after amassing 11 sacks.
