Move In: July 10, 2020. Students and staff will be available from 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM on Friday, July 10th to assist with move in. We want to make it convenient for you and your family’s timing. You will be getting more information about move-in specifics through email approximately two weeks before the start of the program, but please note that you will have a mandatory orientation starting at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 10th and lasting through Sunday, July 12th. Orientation is only for students. Snacks and refreshments will be provided during move in.

Due to the impact of COVID-19, Summer Transition, Advising and Registration (STAR) will be delivered remotely through Virtual STAR (VSTAR) for all students beginning May 11. For many years, VSTAR has successfully introduced students to Purdue. This well-established program helps students connect with faculty, staff and current students. It also connects incoming students to campus culture, resources and advising before they begin classes. Students who have accepted their offers of admission will be enrolled in VSTAR automatically. This includes students who have already registered for an on-campus STAR date. All new students will work with an academic advisor virtually to pre-register for their courses. As a Summer Start participant, we strongly encourage you to complete VSTAR modules by June 5. Details about advising, as well as live and recorded experiences to supplement VSTAR, will be shared at a later date.

Attendance Policy

You are allowed two days of unexcused absences during the 25 days of class. If you have more than two unexcused absences, you will meet with a disciplinary committee and your admission offer will most likely be rescinded - meaning you will not be allowed to attend Purdue during Fall 2020.  You may be up for reconsideration the following summer. Absences relating to illnesses, funerals, emergencies, and 4-H participation (with appropriate documentation) will be excused; however, students must work with individual faculty members to understand how unexcused and excused absences may impact one's final grade.
