Scholarship for Graduate/Professional Students

Scholarship awards have been decided. Those that have received funding have been notified. If you did not receive notification, many have a chance to re-apply next year.

The Cecelia Zissis Graduate Student Scholarship is named for the second director of Span Plan. Applicants are required to be a nontraditional graduate or professional student as defined by meeting one or more of the following criteria:

  1. Had a two or more year break from school
  2. Is married or in a same sex domestic partnership
  3. Is a parent

The recipients are selected during the spring semester and awarded the following academic year, 50% awarded in the fall and the remaining 50% in the spring semester.

  • The application deadline is March 1.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Students must demonstrate financial need: domestic students must file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); international students must complete an EFC (Expected Family Contribution) for the current academic and next academic years.
  • Awards are a minimum of $1000.
