IT Standards

The ITaP Security and Policy (ITSP) group facilitates the development of University information security policies and consults on information security compliance activities under federal, state, and local law.

Purdue University information security standards refer to mandatory activities, actions, rules, or regulations and are usually technology agnostic. A “baseline” defines the minimum standard that must be met. Standards are created by cross organizational working groups consisting of subject matter experts.
