Take a Career Assessment

Taking career assessments can be very helpful in better understanding yourself. If you are interested in taking an assessment, make an initial appointment with Danielle Sheese at During this meeting, you and the counselor will discuss your interest in assessments as well as which assessment might best fit your needs. After this initial meeting, you will complete the assessment and discuss your results with Danielle at a second session.  This service is for current undergraduate students in the College of Science.

Strong Interest Inventory (SII)

This assessment identifies your interests and offers insight on how your interests may fit in certain work environments and occupations. The Strong provides information on what your top five interest areas are, as well as matches how well your interests align with people in occupations who report being satisfied in their careers.

Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

This assessment identifies your personality preferences and offers insight on who you are and how you interact with others. The MBTI presents perspectives of your personality that focus on internal and external attitudes, the intake of information, decision making, and lifestyle organization.  All of these areas correspond to the professional world of work.
