The College of Science Faculty Committee for Diversity presents an interactive panel on how including diversity as part of your broader impacts can improve your grant proposals. The panel speakers will provide knowledge and insight of diversity-related funding options, grant writing strategies, and awareness of diversity-related projects on campus.

The panel speakers
Asai Dr. David Asai, Senior Director of Undergraduate and Graduate Science Education Programs at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, former Purdue University Department Head and Professor in Biology, oversees an annual portfolio of $63 million in initiatives for life science education and has a passion for diversity in research and education.
Dr. Hambrusch A former CS department head and current professor of Computer Science, Dr. Susanne Hambrusch, recently completed three years as Director of the Computing and Communication Foundations Division in the CISE Directorate at NSF. At NSF, she led the development of several new crosscutting programs.
Sally Bond Assistant Director of Research Development Services at Purdue, Sally Bond oversees a team that consults and helps write large grant efforts at Purdue, ranging from under $1 million to multi-million dollar proposals.
Bill Walker Bill Walker, Purdue College of Science K-12 Outreach Director, coordinates a team of outreach coordinators that work with schools and teachers to develop impactful programs and activities across the state and country.

Opening remarks will be made by Dr. George McCabe, the College of Science's Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
