Global Science Partners get 'Amazing'

The Global Science Partners ended its year on a strong note by promoting culture and exercise at its “The Amazing Race” event held April 12 in the Black & Gold Gym within the France A. Cordova Recreational Sports Center.

Like the hit reality show on CBS, pairs of contestants had to race around completing tasks, puzzles and physical feats. The quickest teams won prizes and glory.

College of Science students from the Global Science Partners program manned the stations, which included limbo from Trinidad, Bollywood dancing from India and Korean calligraphy. Thirteen stations were scattered around the large gymnasium.

Each team had to complete the station’s tasks quickly in order to get a stamp in their passport. Thirteen stamps were needed to finish. If a team was horrible at hula hooping (representing the United States), it affected the team’s chances of winning.

Amazing Race

Mastering Bollywood dance was one of 13 tasks at Global Science Partners' "Amazing Race" event.
