Don’t let lack of funding prevent you from learning beyond the classroom!

Is there a fabulous unpaid summer internship in your major field of study that you would like to take but can’t because you need paid work to help support your education? Do you want to attend a scientific conference but can’t afford the registration fees? Would you like to job shadow a professional in Chicago but lack money for transportation and housing? Do you aim to gain valuable international experience but it doesn’t fit into your budget? Apply for a Learning Beyond the Classroom grant.

  3. Once a decision is made, the student will be informed and asked to show proof of intent and to sign the contract.
  4. The timing of an award will be dependent on the awarding timeline of DFA. A minimum of two weeks will be required for the distribution of an award, but the award could take much longer in certain circumstances (e.g. for an international student or during an especially busy time).
