In this session, you will learn about what is needed to start a new organization, the resources that are available for new student organizations at Purdue, as well as some of the missteps that student organizations have encountered.

Starting a new term as an organizational leader is supposed to be fun, exciting, and full of positive anticipation. Unfortunately, some organizations miss the chance to have a planned transition process from the old officers to the new. This workshop will talk about techniques to help ease the shift between officers in a way that is managed and helpful for everyone involved.

Recruitment Strategies for Getting New Members

How many members do you need for your organization to thrive? To live your mission? What is the right number? We will explore recruitment strategies for your organization. We will also review the organization's needs, and develop a plan to move forward.

How to Review and Revise Your Constitution

Did you know that there are organizations that haven’t reviewed their constitutions since before the Internet was a thing? Let us help you think about your organization’s constitution by taking a guided tour through the constitution template provided on BoilerLink. There will also be plenty of time for questions about how to best prepare or amend your constitution to prevent some of the most common problems that arise.

My Big Fat Program

With more access to grant funding, student organizations are able to have large scale events. Where do we start? How much money will it take? How many people? Do I really need to go through conferences? What happens when we don’t have enough money? This session will review each step on how to have a successful event.
