Regulatory Affairs

Regulatory Affairs promotes the responsible conduct of research by assisting investigators in understanding and complying with state and federal statutes and regulations applicable to Purdue's research enterprise. Specifically, we assist investigators to:

  • Protect people from possible harms associated with their participation in research
  • Safeguard the well-being of animals used in research
  • Ensure the safe use of infectious and other biohazardous agents used in research
  • Disclose and manage research conflicts of interest
  • Identify and observe federal export control regulations associated with research
  • Conduct research in a responsible manner
  • Obtain training on topics associated with conducting particular kinds of research
