The Purdue Policy Research Institute (PPRI) has a mandate to encourage and support groundbreaking and interdisciplinary policy-based research, and Purdue faculty, scholars, and students are central for PPRI to realize this mandate. To achieve this mandate, we invite all Purdue faculty and scholars who would like to highlight the policy implications of their research. PPRI’s faculty affiliates represent a range of disciplines and interests, and PPRI strives to connect faculty affiliates with colleagues and research opportunities across Purdue to foster interdisciplinary research.

What are the advantages of being a PPRI Faculty Affiliate?

As a PPRI faculty affiliate, there is no specific time obligation or commitment, but there are some advantages for those who accept the invitation. These advantages include:

• Notification of limited submission opportunities for grants and fellowships
• Consultation on your grant proposals to include a policy component
• Our availability to be co-PIs, key personnel, or administrative support on your policy relevant grant proposals
• Invitation to attend special PPRI events and advance notice in some instances
• Opportunity to submit content for the PPRI blog and take advantage of other methods to promote the work of our affiliates to various audiences
• Opportunity to write and publish white papers and policy briefs for the PPRI database available here
• Opportunities for your students to be involved in PPRI initiatives, activities and events

Becoming a PPRI Faculty Affiliate also serves as a signal of your intent to be involved in interdisciplinary policy research work. As opportunities arise, we’ll know who may be interested!
