Director of Strategy and Operations- PARI

Diana Harbison is joining the Global Development and Innovation Division of PARI as the Director of Strategy and Operations. She is joining PARI after serving as Assistant Director for International Development in the Global Engineering Programs and Partnerships Office in the College of Engineering at Purdue University where she helped faculty and students find new opportunities to expand the work they do in international development. In the two and a half years she was in this role she helped faculty secure nearly $1 million in funding and was privileged to be asked to serve as advisor to the Graduate Researchers in International Development student organization.  Prior to joining Purdue, Harbison held a variety of positions over the course of 15 years at the United States Trade and Development Agency, an independent federal Agency tasked with supporting U.S. jobs through U.S. exports for infrastructure projects in emerging markets. She served as Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Office providing advice on all aspects of the Agency’s program, including identifying where programming was most effective. Harbison previously served on the Agency’s programmatic teams managing multi-million dollar portfolios supporting infrastructure project development in the Middle East, North Africa, South and Southeast Asia. Harbison earned a Master's Degree in Global Finance, Trade, and Economic Integration from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, and a Bachelor's degree from Roanoke College, Salem, Virginia.
