Sponsored Program Services (SPS) Pre-Award Offers 1:1 Faculty Orientation
September 1, 2021
Sponsored Program Services (SPS) Pre-Award offers one-on-one new faculty orientation sessions to introduce new Purdue researchers to the services offered by SPS Pre-Award and familiarize them with the proposal development and submission process.
Each orientation includes an overview of the roles of SPS Pre-Award, Post Award and Contracting. The session also covers the roles of the researcher’s business office and the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships office related to proposal submissions and potential awards.
A short questionnaire completed by the investigator before the session allows Pre-Award staff to focus the orientation on sponsors and topics most relevant to his or her research and experience level, such as administrative review of an RFP, noteworthy sponsor requirements, timelines, budgeting, working with subcontracts, cost sharing and compliance requirements.
Sessions also are available for anyone who may be involved in developing a proposal, including post docs, graduate students and staff. Contact your Pre-Award Center to arrange a session, or email proposal@purdue.edu.
