Analytical Mass Spectrometry Facility

Overview

The Analytical Mass Spectrometry Facility consists of two laboratories with eight mass spectrometers and three staff members dedicated to the application of mass spectrometry to Purdue University research projects. We specialize in applying mass spectrometry in unique ways and developing innovative methods to address research problems. Our services include a complete range of ionization and sample introduction methods. Our instrumentation and expertise enable us to address a wide variety of different challenges. We work with a diverse group of researchers, typically encompassing more than 25 different departments on campus in a given year. We charge a fee for each sample analyzed at the facility, but consultation is free, so bring us your problem and find out if we can help!
