Wabash Riverfest - Volunteers needed or come and enjoy the day!

July 14 @ 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM - On the banks of the Wabash River in Tapawingo Park, West Lafayette, IN

Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant and the West Lafayette Police Department will host an unwanted medicine collection event during Wabash Riverfest, July 14, 2012. The festival runs 9 am – 4 pm. More information can be found here:

In addition to the collection event, we’ll have some related outreach activities going on in an adjacent tent. These will include the famous rolling game (this game was very popular during last year’s Riverfest). We’re looking for volunteers to help man the booths in 1-2 hour shifts. If you are interested, please send an email to Carolyn Foley (cfoley@purdue.edu) indicating when you are available. Volunteers will receive free snacks and drinks while they are working. The festival takes place on the banks of the Wabash River in Tapawingo Park and it’s a nice way to spend part of a Saturday.

Hope you can join us!
