Description

The “Purdue 2050: Conference of the Future ,” one of the concluding events for Purdue 150th anniversary, will take place on September 26-27, 2019. This is an ‘uncommon conference’ where participants will have an immersive experience in futuristic technology that should appear in 2030 to 2050. The primary objective is to organize a conference, as it would happen in the future. The conference will include a series of sessions designed to explore emerging technologies through the lens of critical issues such as privacy and community development. Highlighted at the conference will be  the interative exhibit,  Digital Borneo,  featuring immersive sounds from 100 million years old rainforest prepared in collaboration between Bryan Pijanowski’s Center for Global Soundscapes (C4E member and C4E Signature Project Center) among others.  See full information and registration information at: https://www.purdue.edu/dp/2050.  (faculty receive registration discount).
