“Can broadly neutralizing antibodies lead us to an HCV vaccine?”

Dr. Bailey is an Associate Professor of Medicine and an Infectious Diseases physician at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He earned his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Johns Hopkins and completed medical residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. His clinical focus is on treatment of viral hepatitis and HIV infection. His laboratory focuses on virus-host interactions, with a particular focus on broadly neutralizing antibodies against hepatitis C virus (HCV).

He will be discussing structural and functional interactions between broadly neutralizing antibodies and HCV envelope protein (E2), and implications for HCV vaccine development.
