Description

Seema Verma, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the nation’s largest health insurer for seniors, will join Purdue President Mitch Daniels, for a conversation.  In her current role with the centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Verma works to reduce regulations so doctors and providers can focus on providing high quality health-care to patients.  She supports solutions that improve health-care quality, accessibility and outcomes for states while driving down costs.

Seema Verma currently serves as Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and she is only the 15th person ever confirmed to the post. As Administrator, Ms. Verma oversees a $1 trillion budget, 26 percent of the total federal budget, and administers healthcare programs for more than 130 million Americans every day.
