One of the major challenges that low-and-middle-income countries as well as high income countries are facing is the impact of environmental exposures on population health. This presentation with highlight how using economic methods for valuing environmental effects on health can play an important role to help decision makers define prevention policy.

Martine M. Bellanger is a Professor of Health Economics at the School of Public Health (EHESP) in Paris, France – University Sorbonne Paris Cité, and the Director of the Master of Public Health program of EHESP. Her current interests for both research and teaching are in economic analysis and methods to evaluate how the environment may influence population health. She is visiting Purdue as part of the Honors College Visiting Scholars program.
