Metabolomics and Lipidomics Workshop

Bindley Bioscience Center
May 8, 2018
11:30 AM - 3:00 PM
MRGN 129, 1201 W. State Street, West Lafayette, IN

Description

FREE WORKSHOP  Join us to learn about the latest technologies to support omics research and to interact with peers.

Metabolomics and lipidomics have become important tools used in the understanding of the biology of living organisms. In biomedical research, metabolomics and lipidomics are increasingly used to identify novel biomarkers, disease diagnosis, understand disease mechanism, identify novel drug targets, monitor therapeutic outcomes, and customize treatment strategies for precision medicine. The power of these omics technology has been realized across multiple scientific disciplines and as result we have seen the emergence of related disciplines including environmental exposures, food and nutritional research, traditional medicine, and metabolic engineering. We know that time is one of your most valuable assets. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to gain access to, and engage in dialogue with, us and your peers. We are confident that you will find the seminar interesting and enjoyable, and the discussions useful.
