Last fall, several forums were held seeking input on strategies for Purdue’s new data science initiative being led by the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships. Using input from the forums, a Data Science Working Group of faculty nominated by the colleges generated a report and recommendations.
The Data Science Working Group report, as well as a summary of the discussions at the forums, can be accessed at the links below using career account credentials:
A video of the Integrative Data Sciences Initiative Forum held on Jan. 26 is also available online. Sign in with your career account to view. The video will be available until March 30.
In other data science news, two upcoming events on the West Lafayette campus will explore data from the perspective of specific disciplines:
- April 20: Data Science in the Life Sciences Symposium
- May 24-26: Krannert Conference on Data Science for Business and Economics
