SPRING 2021 |

Monthly IRB trainings continue; CERIAS holds weekly security seminars; the Arequipa Nexus Institute hosts webinars; and a research collaboration plans a summit.

IRB training

IRB trainings are available via WebEx for faculty, staff and students. Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) staff will demonstrate how to submit an Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol application in the Cayuse IRB system, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Upcoming dates include March 16, April 16 and May 10. Advance registration is required due to limited space. To register, send an email to irb@purdue.edu and include registrant name, email address, department, and principal investigator name. Those who register will be provided with a confirmation email that includes the WebEx participation link.

CERIAS Security Seminars

CERIAS — the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS) in Purdue’s Discovery Park — hosts a weekly speaker on topics such as cybersecurity, privacy, resiliency or autonomy. Speakers highlight technical discoveries, review case studies or exploring cyber operational approaches. See upcoming events here. Many cybersecurity certification organizations recognize CERIAS Security Seminar sessions for continuing education credit. CPE forms are available.

Arequipa Nexus Institute webinars

The Arequipa Nexus Institute, a collaboration that involves Discovery Park’s Center for the Environment, is continuing its webinar series this spring. In each session, a Nexus researcher or a guest speaker will give a lightning presentation about their research affiliated with the institute. Upcoming webinars include March 12, March 26, April 9, April 23 and May 7. Read more.
