NSWC-Crane

Purdue and Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Divisions (NSWC Crane) have often collaborated in an informal manner with research projects and student interaction. In August of 2014, a larger relationship between Crane and Purdue was formalized in the form of moving technology developed at Crane though the process of commercialization with the help of Purdue’s Office of Technology Commercialization. In order to assist with the marketing and communication of novel research developments to the broader, commercial market, Purdue has added Crane’s strength in technological advances for sensors, antennas and radar used for the Department of Defense and national security to its showcase for increased visibility. Most recently, Purdue MBA students are examining 130 Crane innovations to help determine market viability, and a go-to-market strategy.
