2009 Banquet Recognizes Excellence in Research at Purdue

The Seed for Success Award is given in recognition of the accomplishments of single investigators and teams of investigators for their efforts in obtaining a $1 million dollar or more research grant. This year, an award dinner was held on October 20, 2009, to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of Purdue’s research community.

Among the 196 investigators recognized for their accomplishments during fiscal year 2009, sixty-nine were first-time principal investigators or co-investigators who had received a $1 million dollar or more research grant. Each first-time recipient was presented with a personally engraved bronze acorn award.
