For most What-If exploration, however, you should direct students to&nbsp;Smart Plan, which provides a semester-by-semester path and can calculate the actual time-to-degree impact of a program change.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two tools are complementary: use&nbsp;the myPurduePlan&nbsp;What-If feature for degree audit verification and Smart Plan What-If for planning impact.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Smart Plan&nbsp;is currently available to select majors, with a full undergraduate rollout planned. Advisor-specific Smart Plan resources are forthcoming. Choose the program requirements to test \u2014&nbsp;required&nbsp;fields&nbsp;are&nbsp;Level, Degree, Catalog Term, Major and College. Process What-If&nbsp;to generate the worksheet. Notes can be&nbsp;public&nbsp;(visible to the student) or&nbsp;internal&nbsp;(not visible to the student). Students see public notes&nbsp;immediately&nbsp;after you save them. To&nbsp;delete&nbsp;a note, email&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:myPurduePlan@purdue.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">myPurduePlan@purdue.edu<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"\/registrar\/ferpa\/faculty-staff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Follow&nbsp;FERPA guidelines<\/a>&nbsp;when entering notes. Advisors see both public and internal notes \u2014 a checkmark&nbsp;indicates&nbsp;an internal note.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To view notes:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>View Notes<\/strong>\u00a0to display notes for the student.
