Short Title: Polymer Rheology
Description: The theoretical foundation necessary for understanding structurally complicated fluids is developed. Simple models of non-Newtonian fluids are derived, and these models are applied to engineering problems. More complicated constitutive models are derived, and the physical origins of these models are discussed. Offered in alternate years. Prerequisite: CHE 54000.
