Seating and Security

Seating in the Hall of Music

All degree candidates will be seated on the main floor of the Elliott Hall of Music. Seating charts for the five divisions for Spring 2014 are as follows:

Guest Seating

The Elliott Hall of Music will be open to your guests at 6:30 p.m. ET for the first division, 8 a.m. ET for the second and fourth divisions, and 1 p.m. ET for the third and fifth divisions. Once the academic procession begins entering the auditorium at 7:40 p.m. ET for the first division, 9:10 a.m. ET for the second and fourth divisions, and 2:10 p.m. ET for the third and fifth divisions, no guests will be seated until the procession is concluded, so urge your family and friends to be in their seats early.  As a courtesy to others in attendance, please ask that your guests remain in their seats until the conclusion of the exercise. All seating is general admission for the graduation ceremonies.  Electronic guest tickets will have a system-generated row and seat number; however, these are not your guests’ assigned seats.

Security

Security precautions may be in effect.  Please continue to refer to the Office of the Registrar Web site for the most current information.

Parking

Parking will be available in the Grant Street, Northwestern Avenue, University Street, and Wood Street parking garages. Please avoid parking in 24-hour reserved places.  Uniformed Purdue police will be on duty and will provide directions, as needed.  The surface lot north of the Armory will not be available for guest parking.  Additional spaces around the Hall of Music will be reserved for handicapped parking.  Guests can also be dropped off and picked up around Elliott Hall.
