The purpose of the American Red Cross Layresponder CPR/First Aid/AED course is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies.

  • Register at Member Services Desk or at our Online store

  • All classes are scheduled in the Howard Taylor Conference Room

  • Maximum class size is 15 participants

  • Minimum class size is 4 participants

Group Classes
  • Schedule a class for groups larger than 8 

  • Full Certification $80/person, Re-certification $50/person 

  • Submit a class request

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider

Need to get your CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification? Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED skills are covered in this course. The course is designed for healthcare providers. This course is included in all lifeguarding courses. Participants signing up for a lifeguard certification course do not need to sign up for additional courses.  Register online on our member portal or at Member Services. Click on 'programs' to find the class you want. 

Course Refund Policies

  • Failure to attend any portion of course activities will result in student being dropped from the course without refund.

  • Refunds are only permitted if:

    • 100% refund: participant submits proof of medical inability to participate in course as scheduled

    • 100% refund:  if class is cancelled due to low enrollment

  • Special circumstances may be considered at the discretion of the Assistant Director-Aquatics Education & Programs
