Wellness Classes

Explore the many ways to enhance your well-being through our wellness classes. Our classes touch on all the important aspects of holistic wellness and are designed to teach you skills to live a healthy lifestyle.

Cooking Demonstrations

Our scheduled demos are open to all Purdue students, faculty, staff and RecWell members. For $10/person, you will learn how to prepare a meal, taste the food and take a recipe card home to make it again! Explore all scheduled demos below!

Mindfulness Classes

Practice Mindfulness with us in our various offerings throughout the year. These courses will help you dive deeper into the practice of mindfulness and provide you tools to use in all areas of wellness.

The Mindfulness Series

The Mindfulness Series helps you rewind, focus, and tackle stress. If you endlessly ruminate over stress, have a hard time focusing or simply want to be more intentional, this series can help you learn the skills you need to improve your well-being.

Schedule

The series will be held virtually. 

Mindful Eating - April 19, 2021 | 4-5:30p.m.

We will begin by introducing mindfulness to an everyday activity--eating! Come explore delicious recipes in the demonstration kitchen and learn to become more aware of the tastes, smells, sounds and sensations of food.

Mindful Yoga - April 21, 2021 | 4-5:30p.m.

Next, we will explore mindfulness and bodily sensation. Learn how to be more aware of your own body as we go through some yoga moves.

Mindful Meditation - April 26, 2021 | 4-5:30p.m.

In this session we will apply mindfulness to our thoughts. Learn to sit in the midst of your thoughts and tame your mind as we practice meditation techniques.

Mindful Attention - April 28, 2021 | 4-5:30p.m.

In this wrap up session we will go over the skills we learned and practice some ways to remain mindful of emotions. Learn some simple techniques for reducing stress and living in the moment.

Immersive Well-being Mini-Series

These mini-series deliver big insights on how to apply well-known wellness topics to your life and create meaningful change.  For those who are ready to put wellness skills to the test, these mini-series offer the perfect opportunity!

Immersive Well-being: Digital Detox

This seven day mini-series is designed to help you reclaim calm and find peace is the stillness by  slowly reducing your digital usage. Winners of the seven day challenge get a RecWell t-shirt. Click here to register. Follow the beloew step to sign up:
