Please encourage your student to get this year’s flu shot soon. Flu shots are available at PUSH for $21.00 and your student will be given a receipt to file a claim with your insurance plan. Flu vaccine is the best way to prevent illness and help your student be successful in school. Tamiflu will be in short supply this year and prevention is always better than treatment. Thanks for helping us keep your student healthy.

Flu activity is likely to continue for some time. Anyone aged 6 months and older who has not gotten a flu vaccine yet this season should get one now, especially if they are in a part of the country where activity is still at a high level. It's also important that people with high risk conditions who develop flu-like symptoms or those with severe illness consult a health care provider to see whether influenza antiviral drugs might be needed.
