Come for fun, friends, music, and to support a great cause.
We hope to raise enough money through the event to retrofit an exercise bike in Purdue’s Cordorva Recreational Center. Retrofitting will involve modifying the existing bike and installing technology that will transfer the energy generated by pedaling to the electrical grid. We believe the bike will have a novelty factor and be a powerful educational tool, generating interest in new, cleaner ways of generating energy. We also hope that the attention garnered by the bike will convince Purdue’s administration to invest in an entire fleet and people power will make a meaningful contribution to the campus electrical supply.
