Summer Internship Plus Application

Before you apply for the Summer Internship Plus scholarship, here is some basic information to help you better understand how the scholarship works and who qualifies.

How does it work?

If you are selected to receive the Summer Internship Plus Scholarship, you will be awarded up to $1,000 to help cover the costs of your tuition and fees during Summer 2019.

Who qualifies?

Undergraduate students with a GPA of 2.00 or higher who will be completing an off-campus internship and taking a total of 6 to 9 credit hours - online or on-campus.

What is required for the application?

In the application, you will need to provide:

  • First and last name
  • Purdue ID number (PUID)
  • Major
  • Courses you plan on taking in Summer 2019 terms (note: students are encouraged to ensure that these courses will in fact be offered in Summer 2019 as the selection committee will verify this when considering applications).  The list of Summer 2019 courses will be live on December 10, but your academic advisor and/or this short video can help you see how to search past Purdue summer offerings to get an idea for what is typically offered.
  • Short essay that articulates how the scholarship will enable you to take needed courses in order to help achieve your long-term goals.
  • Location of your off-campus internship.

How do I apply?

The application for the 2019 Summer Internship Plus Scholarship will open December 3, 2019 and will close on April 5, 2019.  All applicants will be notified of a decision by April 20.  You can access the application here.
