Protect Purdue – news you should know

  • The Provost’s most recent virtual “Protect Purdue Conversation” (3/15) discussing vaccination and fall planning can be viewed here.
  • A recent survey shows that Boilermakers are eager to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Read more about the survey results.
  • This Protect Purdue video offers continued COVID Travel guidance.
  • Fully vaccinated faculty, staff and students are encouraged to participate in the vaccine verification program to assist the Protect Purdue Health Center with their case management in case they are exposed to someone COVID-19 positive. Read more. 
  • All Protect Purdue updates for spring semester are shared in the Protect Purdue Weekly Briefing and posted on the Protect Purdue web site. 
  • Instructors: Communications about teaching resources along with the latest emails from the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning can be found here.
  • The Teaching Academy and Office of the Provost are soliciting nominations for the Teaching and Instructional Support Award to recognize the extraordinary and innovative ways that Purdue instructors and staff strived to overcome the challenges of the pandemic. Department heads are asked to submit nominations of up to 5 individuals (instructors, lecturers, staff, or graduate students) in recognition of their efforts in innovation, student support, in-person learning environment, mentoring, or other exceptional work. All nominees will receive university recognition and a certificate. In addition, all nominees will be invited to apply for an additional special recognition of exceptional effort and impact. Nominations are due no later than April 2. Please contact your department head to suggest individuals for these awards.
