The Project Management Office (PMO) leads projects and supports the ways that projects are managed in IT. This includes:

  • Identifying and developing project management methodology, best practices and standards
  • Coaching, training and oversight of individuals leading projects
  • Coordinating communication across projects

The PMO also employs Project Portfolio Management (PPM) to optimize our project mix and best achieve our organizational goals. The PPM is a defined framework used to determine the optimal mix and sequencing of proposed IT projects to best achieve Purdue's overall goals.
