For Faculty & Staff

Pre-Professional Advising is Purdue's centralized source for information about healthcare and law fields, requirements for specific careers, and assistance with applying to professional programs.

Located in the Center for Career Opportunities in 132 Young Hall, the office also offers a professional file service that stores and distributes students' collected letters of recommendation for medical, dental and podiatry programs.

Students from all majors and with interests in any health care or law field are welcomed and encouraged to make use of Pre-Professional Advising as a supplement to their academic advising. Appointments can be made using the Krannert online system or by calling (765) 494-3981. Students can also e-mail Pre-Professional Advising directly at preprofessional@purdue.edu.

The Resource Section Tab (at Left) provides easy access for you to many of our materials.

We provide workshops on topics such as applying to medical school and professional school interviews and meet individually with students to discuss their future plans and options. Please also remember:

  • We are happy to provide you with any information you need for working with pre-professional students.

  • We are available to speak in your classes to inform students about their pre-professional options.
