Message from the Chief

On behalf of the men and women of the Purdue University Police Department, it is my privilege to welcome you to our website. Here you will find a wealth of information about the programs we offer and the professionals that serve and protect our campus community.

An important program I would like to tell you about is our pursuit of professional accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). CALEA accreditation is a voluntary three-year process designed to ensure that the Purdue Police Department's policies and practices meet an established set of rigorous standards. We are looking forward to completing the accreditation process in 2009.

Even more important than our programs are our people. The PUPD Team is comprised of highly skilled and dedicated professionals that care about the Purdue community. Whether we are responding to an emergency, or to help someone that has locked their keys in their car, our people are committed to excellence.

Thank you for taking the time to familiarize yourself with our operations, programs, and people!
