During the four decades that he was Director of PMO, Dr. Albert P. Stewart brought national acclaim to both the Glee Club and Purdue University from 1932-1974. A firm believer in honoring the past, one of Dr. Stewart’s favorite adages was to remind students in the Glee Club that they were “standing on the shoulders of generations who have come before.” PMO is calling on these “generations of giants” to help facilitate once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for future generations of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club.

Named after the irrepressible founder of PMO and the Glee Club’s first full-time director, the Dr. Albert P. Stewart Directorship Endowment will be a recurring source of income for the operations of the Glee Club and PMO for years to come.

By bringing them to national prominence, Dr. Stewart was the lynchpin for putting PMO and Purdue University on the map. PMO invites you to join in our efforts to carry on his legacy by supporting the Dr. Albert P. Stewart Directorship Endowment, which will ensure that future generations of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club will have life-changing opportunities for years to come. The fulfillment of this $1.5M endowment will provide PMO the firm foundation to continue to dream big forever, no matter what the future brings.
