Center Stage: PMO at First United Methodist Church & Follett's Bookstore
Sunday, August 22, 2010
The Purdue Varsity Glee Club and Purduettes share their gift of music at both morning worship services at First United Methodist Church in West Lafayette, IN. Thanks to FUMC for inviting us back again this year!
The men of the Glee Club help begin the worship by singing in surround.
Both groups enjoyed sharing a wonderful brunch with the members and guests at the church.
Freshman Diana Poulin takes some time to get to know Pastor Glen Robyne.
Here Senior David Wyant and Sophomore Chris Cho enjoy chatting with Pastor Dan Berger.
Bill Griffel, Director of PMO, leads the men in song.
The Purduettes began their set with “House of Love” featuring Junior Allie Rieth.
The ladies smile while they await direction from their director, Jeff Vallier.
The members of Lighthouse dazzle the crowd and aid in their worship.
After both ceremonies at First United Methodist Church, the Glee Club and Purduettes drive just down the road to Follett's Bookstore. Upperclassmen Jimmy O’Connor and Lyndsey Hernandez provide a helping hand to Freshman Audrey Bengert as she looks for her required textbooks.
Junior and HTM major, Julie McLaughlin, peruses through textbooks pertinent to her classes this semester.
Keeping with PMO tradition, Bill Griffel leads the ladies and gentlemen in “Hail Purdue.”
The PMO students smile as they sing the Purdue fight song, a great preparation for the first day of classes which would follow. Thanks to Jeff Gulick and Follett's Bookstore for having us back again this year!
