Center Stage: Purduettes Camp - Day 3
Wednesday, August 18, 2010
Purduettes had the choice of activities to do each morning. Some ladies chose to run 2-3 miles around Camp Tecumseh each morning.
Other ladies started their day off with yoga, this stretch being Child’s Pose.
The last option was a relaxing bible study led by Sophomore Allie Conrad.
Here the Purduettes review some of the choreo that they learned the day before.
Third year Purduettes walk to the other side of camp. Juniors Sara Erwin, Hannah Burris, Allie Reith, Abby Green, and Senior Rachel Lane hold hands and chat on the way.
In the middle of a break from rehearsal, Junior Sara McNally, and Sophomores, Leanne Shideler, Alyssa Prast, Amanda Smith, and Chrissy Kvachkoff pose for a picture.
Cheered on by Senior and Gold of Advancement, Rachel Lane, some girls put on a skit about proper and improper mingling techniques.
While at team building activities the ladies listen to instructions led by Camp Tecumseh staff. The girls had a lot of fun while growing closer as Sisters in Song.
We learned from both success and failures during these team building exercises.
These ladies show off their skills of “duck tape skiing”.
During dinner the gentlemen of the Glee Club and ladies of the Purduettes reviewed rules of etiquette. Here Kevin Norman and Emily Grimm lead the lesson in proper manners.
New Woman Diana Poulin takes notes during the etiquette lesson.
Diana poses with New Man, Max Showalter, who ate dinner with her that evening.
Caroline LaDue, Alyssa Wick, and Rebecca Bean smile for a picture after losing their seats in a giant game of musical chairs.
The Social Committee assigned the second year Purduettes as Big Sisters for the New Women. Here Big Sis Sara McNally and Lil Sis Kathryn Johnson sit together away from the group, so they can bond.
