Pronunciation Resources

American English Pronunciation Practice
This site is specifically for English language learners. It has a lot of audio files and is set up like an interactive game. The page may take a while to load because of all the audio.
University of Iowa Phonetics
This site will show you how the sounds of American English are articulated using a cross-section of the vocal tract, a video of someone saying the sounds in isolation, and several audio files of each sound.
Seeing Speech
This site has clickable charts to hear all the sounds of English. There are also some great videos to see what happens in the mouth for challenging sounds.
English Club Pronunciation Page
This page has a lot of links to resources for various aspects of English pronunciation, including stress placement and the reduction of articles.
The Color Vowel Chart
This tool helps you learn the vowels of English by associating the sounds with color words. The chart is clickable so you can hear the vowels.
